This breakthrough design transfers power directly to the bicycles drivechain enabling maximum power/efficiency no matter what gear you are in.
Other motor drive systems only power the wheel and don't provide as much assistance when in low gear and travelling slowly - often when you want assistance most! We have found that this design also reaches higher speeds than other designs. This is due to motors having maximum power at a certain RPM (wheel speed). To reach speeds faster than the motor RPM then more effort is required from the rider. The Bicycle Store Electric Kit uses the full range of the bicycles gearing. By powering the drivetrain directly when the bike is in high gear, speeds of up to 42km/h are easily obtainable on the flat as members of our staff will testify. Yes this electric kit has been extensively test by our own staff who delightedly cycle their way to work everyday.
