The seamless aluminium frame with winged profile and proven multisport geometry offer real time trial qualities and a relaxed aero position.

For 2008 Merida managed to reduce the frame weight to 1500g without altering the visual appearance.

A dream weight and only possible through the usage of Merida's triple butted aluminium Prolite 66.

EGG SHAPE: Egg-shaped head tube with large diameter at the lower end and thinner cross section in the middle of the tube, improves the steering precision and optimizes chattering safety.

CARBON FORK: Carbon fork with light and highly damping fork blades from carbon fibre strengthened plastic material.

PROLITE 66: Aluminium frame from super-light triple butted tubing in our top alloy Prolite 66.

SMOOTH: Smooth welding manufactures softly scaled weld seams for smoothened, more optically appealing transitions of the welded joints.

INTERNAL CABLE: Cables running on the inside of the frame, with low-friction and elegantly positioned braking and gear shift.
