Headwear

Headwear is a broad terminology used by many cyclists, cycling caps were predominantly used as head covering prior to mandatory helmets laws, today the term cycling caps refer to two entirely different uses, helmet linings or caps (hats). Helmet linings form a barrier between the head and helmet, they typically have moisture wicking capabilities enabling the riders head to stay dry, because they are washable they are favoured by many cyclists because they aid in the prevention of some scalp problems. Some helmet linings also have thermal qualities and are known as head warmers and can be found under our warmers section. In Australia, cycling caps have a peak or sun visor much like a "baseball cap" and are used solely as fashionable attire.
