The i-Motion 9 is the first gear hub with 9-speeds.  Sporty cycling is possible because of the smooth transistion of gears over the entire transmission range.  For the first time, you can use the advantages of external drivetrain in the protected system of an internal hub: smooth transistion range and shifting under load.

The gear ratio of the i-Motion 9 is equal to 340% which makes the 9-speed hub sporty and versatile.  The gear ratio shows the ratio of the crank revolution to the distance traveled: In the lowest gear you reach 2.3 metres per crank revolution and in the highest gear a distance of 7.83 metres.

Shifting while standing and shifting under load make the i-Motion 9 safe and comfortable in any cycling situation.  If you have to brake suddenly at high-speed, at a traffic light or due to an obstacle, you can select a lower gear while standing and without difficulty when starting up again.

Your gears will never let you down again when facing a steep hill, if you need a lower or higher gear, simply shift up or down without having to stop pedaling.

The i-Motion can be used in any type of wheather and only needs a small amount of maintenance.  The new developed Easy-Click Connec-tor allows rapid wheel changes and easy adjustment.

The freewheel model can be combined with a double chainring.  A combination of 48 and 38 teeth in the front and 22 teeth in the rear is possible for example.
