Towball bike carriers can be broadly divided into 2 types - Gooseneck and Platform.
Gooseneck carriers are the most affordable ,are rigid or foldable, and the bike is secured and suspended by it's top-tube.
Platform type carriers are significantly easier to load, keep bikes at a set distance and minimise potential frame damage.
