Hybrid wheels are generally used on recreational or commuting bicycles and don't require the lightweight and performance of a race wheel, most commonly aluminium with either single or double-wall rims. Single-wall rims are more affordable but less durable than double-wall rims. Strength, durability and component quality such as hubs, spokes, bearings and rims all factor into a wheels pricing.
