Forks

Bicycle forks consist of two blades which are designed to hold the front wheel axle, the fork's steerer-tube is slotted into the frame's head-tube, the headset attaches the fork to the frame and provides a smooth steering action by way of upper and lower bearings in the head-tube. There are two types of bicycle forks, rigid and suspension (telescopic). Materials used in the construction are either steel, aluminium, carbon-fibre, titanium or magnesium or a combination of these elements.
