22" and 24" Wheels
24" rims are most commonly used on mountain, jump or bmx bikes, there are significant differences with each wheel dependent on it's intended use. Entry level mountain bike wheels which are used on budget style bicycles generally have single-wall aluminium rims and are suitable for use on unsealed roads and trails, whereas mountain bike and bmx rims are often double-wall or triple-wall rims which increase the wheels strength, durability and resistance to impacts. Rim quality, spokes, hubs and bearings vary greatly and impact greatly on the wheels performance and cost.
