The KMC X11SL DLC has been designed to perform better and last longer than many other 11-speed chains. The black Diamond Like Coating reduces the effects of abrasive wear; with a surface hardness that is higher than most coatings, this ensures better long-term function, optimal stability and higher durability.

The KMC X11SL DLC features X-2.0 pins that are hollow and slot into hollow inner and outer plates, which reduce the overall weight of the chain. Outer plate chamfering aids in accurate alignment of the chain, which helps smoother shifting and reduces wear, while inner plate chamfering aids in better articulation of the chain.

With unique SP (stretch-proof) treatment, the durability has been effectively enhanced by reducing the attrition between inner plates and pin. As a result, chain life has been significantly prolonged.
